Dr. Sheftel utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet the specific needs of each individual.
In addition to treating anxiety and OCD, Dr. Sheftel has formal training as a VA psychologist and expertise providing the gold standard in research based PTSD treatment, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). She brings great compassion and a sense of humor to all client work.
Dr. Sheftel is a member of the Oregon Psychological Association, the International OCD Foundation, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. She sits on the board of the Oregon Psychological Ethics Committee.
She has earned a Behavior Therapy Training Institute Certification from The International OCD Foundation and a certificate in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) from the Professional Education Systems Institute.
