
Dr. Paul McMahon, MD
Dr. Paul McMahon is originally from Miami, FL. He graduated from Colgate University in upstate NY, with a degree in neuroscience. He returned home to Miami, working as a research associate in the department of anesthesia and trauma surgery at the University of Miami for two years before entering medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During medical school, Dr. McMahon was awarded a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, with additional funding from the National Institute of Mental Health, where he studied concussion and traumatic brain injury. Dr. McMahon began residency in Neurological Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University, completing three years of surgical training. Realizing his passion was for mental health, and clinical research, he transferred to the Department of Psychiatry at OHSU to complete his training as a psychiatrist. Currently Dr. McMahon focuses on treating anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, and post-concussion syndrome, while continuing clinical research on traumatic brain injury and psychiatric illness.
Dr. McMahon is out-of-network with all insurance companies currently.
