Meghan Walls is a doctorate student clinician.
I am a fourth year PsyD student at Pacific University’s School of Graduate Psychology.
My theoretical orientation is cognitive behavior therapy. I assist Dr. Markel with the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in which we use exposure and response prevention (ERP) to treat individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). Exposure-based therapies align with my research interests. My dissertation entitled “Perceptions of Exposure Therapy: A Survey of the Next Generation of Psychologists” measured the positive and negative beliefs about exposure therapy held by graduate psychology students. My clinical interests include anxiety, trauma, and substance use. Previous to starting my clinical psychology program I was a special education teacher so I also have experience working with individuals with disabilities.
